I have'nt tried Broom yet so will give them a go.

My material I bought from Aquarius is tinted perspex. I have used the plastic shop for work materials but they didnt list sheets big enough for my screen.

Polystyrene strictly speaking isnt closed cell but by keeping it an inch or more above the inside of the hull in what should be a reasonably sealed space it should not get wet.
