I originally raised the issue of our Forum speed and have read some of the comments thereafter. I am not sure this is entirely relevant to Forum speed, so have moved this comment and posted here in General...... Whilst I agree that social media is definitely the 'in' place to post online, I do not a...

Re: Has anybody noticed a distinct slowing down on forum?
I enjoy this forum and as a learner it gives me an opportunity to educate myself in matters 'Classic Motorboating'. I look nearly everyday, but feel as if I am now persevering, which I am not sure is how it should be. Perhaps that's why the number of posts seems to have dropped off in the last few m...

Video on importance of boat trailer weight distribution
https://www.facebook.com/dunlaoghairemarina/videos/1471663689527395/ I was sent this by a friend who tows a rear engined car, but it's essentially a lab test showing the results of subtle changes in trailer weight distribution for outboards etc. I am not on Facebook but it worked and I watched it on...

Re: Guess the boat?......A quick quiz!
I just posted it for a bit of fun......the whole leisure fleet was taken out of the water and put up on blocks in the yard early/mid 80's. They are mostly still there and just as they were laid up. They are well gone though and would require a lot of enthusiasm and commitment as can be seen on the s...

Re: Guess the boat?......A quick quiz!

Broads day boat built for the tourist trade by Martham Boatyard...I'll post a picture when my neighbour converts it into his idea of a day boat......it maybe sometime.....however he did once build a working windmill full scale fro...

Wanted - Tiller arm for mid 70's 20hp Mercury Blue band.
I am looking for a tiller arm for my 20hp Mercury Blueband. My boat as yet unfinished has controls, but I now want to put the engine on a friends boat which hasn't, so need to find a tiller arm. There are a few on fleebay, but shipping from States at $70 makes it unviable. Plus some on fleebay in UK...

Re: Rebuild Started - Wooden Runabout
Thanks guys that's great. Interestingly I called into an outboard workshop today and they were painting a small cruiser by brush. When I asked, they told me they were using International Toplac! So I might just go with that. Again I genuinely appreciate your help on this. I wouldn't have got this fa...

Re: Rebuild Started - Wooden Runabout
Boat will always be taken out of the water and onto the trailer.
So is the stuff I have listed the 'expensive stuff'' in this context. Or should I be looking elsewhere?
Cheers.

Re: Has anybody noticed a distinct slowing down on forum?
I have noticed this slowing down for a whole, which is why I posted. Definitely a significant snag somewhere. It's taken me 6 minutes to login in and post this.
And yes posts have slowed...it's verging on unusable in this state.
I'm using an IPAD, but same on PC when I checked.

Has anybody noticed a distinct slowing down on forum?
Has anybody else noticed a marked slowing down on this forum. Just getting in is slow, then page changes, uploading etc?
