Hi,
Thanks for that, I am chasing what is described as a Dolphin 16 but I have had my suspicions that it is a 19 (believe it or not the advertiser has not measured it!) I think the brochure confirms that it is not a 16!
Thanks again

Dolphin 16 info and photos requested
Hi all,
Has anyone got any information and/or pictures of the Dolphin 16 which was manufactured by the Brooklands Aviation Company in the 1950s and 60s?
I am negotiating to buy one and any help would be much appreciated!

Re: "Rocket" Hydroplane Build

Re: "Rocket" Hydroplane Build
Sea-Jay when you say they were measured differently in those days do you mean they were putting out 40hp in today's terms or probably more than that? They tended to describe engines by horsepower, often using 1000cc per horsepower. ALSO don't forget as far as a boat is concerned it is largely the t...

Re: "Rocket" Hydroplane Build
Dan, I've got the "Boat Builders Annual" which features Rocket; my dad and I built the 9ft pram dinghy Kingfisher from it in the 1950s The cover is missing so I do not know the year and there doesn't seem to be any reference to it but from the cars I would say late 1930s or 1940s Don't be misled by...
