Decision time. Anybody want a job?
Do a forum search for Batboat and you'll see the beast I bought via Ebay nearly 4 years ago. I'd like to say that i've made fantastic progress, that she's on the water but.......... Having had to concentrate on my business and having tested the wife's patience - new kitchen needed 5 years ago and no...

Work of art needs re-chroming?
I bought this from the states via Ebay as much for my prolonged boat restoration as to sit on the sideboard. The missus doesn't share my appreciation but you just wait til it's been re-chromed. Same old story though... I've had a price from Ashford Chroming - first up on Google (£99-£125 + vat) and ...

Re: Trailer advice needed?
Many thanks Floater...
I'd not given great consideration to trailers and engines when I bought 'Batty' 3 years ago.....

I knew they were costly new but am surprised at how few gooduns come onto the open market.

Trailer advice needed?
I've been looking for a trailer for my 15' shell of a speedboat but don't know the weight nor can I find a used one at a sensible price. I've done eBay, Gumtree, Friday and and a number of boat sites with little success.
Any suggestions?

Re: Paint - 'remover or sander'?
Done some research and its not practical to have somebody come to me to sodablast. Too messy! Given price of £150 which I thought was pretty reasonable.
I'll start another thread shortly re a suitable trailer as I've not got one yet

Re: Paint - 'remover or sander'?
Thank you. I wasn't aware of either process and am looking at whether it's worth me buying a soda blaster!

Paint - 'remover or sander'?
I joined the forum about 3 years ago having acquired 'The Bat Boat' (not the original :pirate: ) and am hoping to find some time to start refurbishing and getting back on the water. She's currently flipped upside down so that I tackle the underside and i'm picking up various bits and pieces about ho...

Re: Steering wheel fittings?
I got this one from https://fssteeringwheels.com most of their wheels are for cars but they also sell a marine boss to fit the centre so you can pick what ever wheel you want, not too bad on price either. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/REAL-WOOD-HALF-WRAP-BILLET-STEERING-WHEEL-CAR-TRUCK-BOAT-GOLF-CART-/00/...
