Re: Kelvin information

Thanks Grant, she does look really very pretty......especially with Eloise in it.............less so with me shoe horned in haha :hilarious: I wear it quite tightly. I suspected Clive will be the likely source of a little more info.........it certainly looks like a mini sorcerer. The jury regarding ...

Kelvin information

Our teeny racer is I believe a Kelvin Dart, basically a mini version of what was a kelvin Sorcerer. I also was told a chap called Bill Maloney may have been responsible for design but I have no evidence. I wondered if anybody has a little more information about these boats? by all accounts the sorce...

I am now fiddling with the wee racer again. It is close to being up for a play. I am sure some of the hydro guys have worked out what I now want to try and do! I have a cable steering through sheaves on the dash running back along combings to the steering bar/yolk on the motor. This is manufactured ...

Re: Crandall Hydroplane

I'm with alacrity on that suggestion.....a good way to adjust height without blocking up. Potentially even enough to put long shaft on if owner had a good motor :perfect:

Re: Cowes Weekend 5/6 Sept

Re: Broom Viking help

I do not think Broom will have badges, though you never know. My Viking has only one.....on dash, it would be easy to take impression of a badge and cast one if a tame foundry were found. I lost a chrome rubber strake end into the Arun and it currently wears a lead one cast and painted! nobody has n...

Re: Broom Viking help

Hi, we are talking on messages, however..........I have the old screen Perspex as a pattern off MIN, the frame is at the end of the day chromed channel, it may even be brass...not checked. It could be made by a competent metal bender. It then has a chromed strip screwed around the bottom. I have a l...
