Windermere, White Cross Bay

Had a great day on Windermere this Saturday (pre gales)
White Cross Bay just north of Windermere town is a holiday park that rents out lodges and caravans. They have an amazing long shallow slipway that was used for the Sunderland flying planes and next to it a more suitable steeper area (as photographed) for launching small boats. You can (if there are no gales coming...) rent a berth by the night so can go out each day without having to re-launch.
2 nights in a sleeps 6 caravan which was immaculate was £150 in September.
