Sherwood water pump - Chevrolet 283.

Post by chris_craft »

Hi. Diagnosed the overheat problem at last - water pump!! Need a Sherwood pump for a Chris craft with Chevrolet 283. It had a gear pump on it but this is worn so any help rebuilding this as an option greatly appreciated.

Hi sean-nos. The original pump is an L9980 (gear pump) but the replacement is a N10360GX (rubber impeller type). 2 inlets and 2 outlets. http://www.sherwoodpumps.com/en-us/Prod ... roduct.htm
Thanks

Not a lot out there for a quick fix they are all about £400 you could try and get a machine shop to make up new parts for you. Best of luck with your search sorry I can't be of more help.
