Well on Christmas morning,which also happens to be my birthday,I decided to take a stroll early,and to my surprise,my ever patient she who shall be obeyed ,was out the door in front of me.
And here's why,a 14' Picton with a '70s' Jonston 75 HP ,minus the Christmas wrapping."Now let's see you perform miracles" HELP....It looks like a three year project.But I think I'll give it a go.

Brave man..I'd keep the motor, as it's far superior to the Merc tripples and deep six the rest. This essentially a Sidewinder Super 14, so plenty about in better structural condition.

I spotted a bare hull on ebay but again in UK,so cost prohibitive.The fiber-glassing is not a real worry,as an uncle of mine has done it for thirty years,though not boats,there's also a friend of mine who,ahem,copies things,and I can call on him for an opinion.
As well as that I still have the Fletcher Arrowman in a shed,which I will need to move in the not too distant future,so I'm working on the engine and will look at the options on the boat later.
Oddly enough the steering is good and the cables move freely.I have stripped the remotes and apart from two broken wires all seems ok.But won't know for sure until I hook up a battery.
I'll probably change my mine as I go along.

Well I took on board what Rapier said and.........threw it back overboard .It couldn't be that much harder than "Murphy's Law",yes I know the apostrophe is in the wrong place before some grammar professor chimes in ,so for laughs,and the fact I have a couple of kgs of resin nearing the end of it's shelf life,I'll see how it turns out.
The transom is rotten as is the forward stringer,I'll also cut the rest of the stringers out and replace.
I will split the boat and replace the transom,and sure if nothing else,I have a nice running Johnson,Ferg, note I spelt it right ,with a S/S prop on it.

I lined up the broken piece which I glassed on the inside.The outside will be beveled back as far as is possible and layered up with epoxy resin.There's a fair chance there will be a slight imperfection at the joints,
The main aim of this is to get the hull and deck stable so as I can separate and lift them apart.The deck will be flipped over and any re-glassing that needs done will be done
