Hi All, I'd thought I'd introduce myself as a new member on the forum and also introduce my restoration project.

'Shegliou' is a 1964 Storebro Royal 28, built in Sweden in mahogany over oak shes a 4 berth twin shaft cruiser. I bought her July last year, she'd been out the water for 25+ years and although the previous owner had completed a huge amount of work he had let the boat suffer over the past few years. I've started out by stripping out all the rot in the coach roof a and replacing it with new mahogany. I'm now working on the GRP roof and working up through the coats of varnish:

I'm in the process of moving house, but hopefully once I'm settled in work will re-commence in anger. I hope to have her on the water next summer, which means paint and varnish, laying teak decks, restoring the topsides and underwater area, interior, re-wire and build and fit of the Isuzu diesel engines... quite a bit to do!
