Tremlett 17

Post by John Boggis »

For those of you who were concerned to see on ebay a Tremlett with a knotty pine deck I am happy to post a photo of the boat with its new deck. It was indeed knotty pine held together with roving nails.

I have replaced all the knees, put in a new bulkhead and stripped the inside of the hull. She is coming together quite well.

And grateful thanks to se7en who got the engine going!

Looking good. What is that on the back, 90? 115?

10/10 for re-decking John, done a few of these, not easy with all the compound shapes! 3/10 for workshop cleanliness though, obviously not flogging the staff regularly enough..."beatings will continue until morale improves"

a liitle incentive usually works!

Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Personally I think the knotty pine suits your character & its a shame you removed it. :giggle:

Are you going paint or varnish??
