Australian 1960's Lukey hull with a 1965 Merc 1000 Engine
Australian 1960's Lukey hull with a 1965 Merc 1000 Engine
This project is nearly finished, the engine was just fitted back on the boat after being rebuilt from top to bottom inside & out. The Hull was refurbished about 6 years ago but now that engine is back to scratch I will start going over the hull and the trailer once again, the boat is utilized by the family by my adult kids and myself as if we brought it new only yesterday. I thoroughly enjoy spending my spare time tracking down parts and researching to gather information on issue that others would give up on today.

Nice boat, is an interesting design for the 60s. MFG and other US manufacturers used that soft ride clinker design, but is more akin to a modified wooden speed dinghy or Jersey Skiff.
