Last blast of the year Ivy Lake Chichester 6th November

Post by floater »

‘Last Chance’ Autumn Test Day in the South

Get a last run out on the water on Sunday 6th November. The venue is Ivy Lake (the home of Chichester Water Ski Club) at Chichester, West Sussex.

The launching fee will be £25/boat. We will have use of the lake all day until late afternoon/dusk, launching will be DIY and there is room for all boats on pontoon moorings. Facilities ashore on the grassed area around the pontoons are basic with just Portaloos. There is no on site overnight camping, The slipway is now a much improved textured concrete which should spare us any launch and recovery drama.

Early entry is imperative as The CMBA together with Chichester waterski club have set a minimum number of entries required to enable the event to proceed. If this number is not met by October 23rd we will unfortunately be forced to cancel and return fees.

Please send me a PM with your personal email address, I can then send you an entry form.

See you there :wot: .

We need numbers folks, entries looking poor so far :(
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Ivy Lake Chichester CANCELLED

Post by Alacrity »

Sadly due to an issue with the water quality at the moment next weekends' event has had to be cancelled. Hopefully the issue will be sorted in time for the spring meet.

Shame - how about asking Dean at http://www.russellpowerboats.co.uk/mari ... -ski-lake/ if his water is being used on Sunday 6th? He might do a deal?
On Berks/Hants border.

Thanks for offering to talk to your contact at Russell powerboats. Their lake is a fair but smaller than Ivy Lake so probably won't accommodate everyone that had booked in but please go ahead and let us know how you get on.
