Those of us who attended had quite a good time talking about our boats to a variety of people, some locals some on holday and quite a few who remembered the Albatross on show from their youth. The fact our display was directly opposite the Poole Quay Fish and Chip stand didn't hurt either.
If anyone knows of similar classic car events in their area and can round up a few boats to attend, I think most event organisers would be pleased to add a new dimension to their event and we now have CMBA "A" board advertising placards as introduced at the Cardiff Rally to encourage visitors to think about joining backed up with the "Business Cards" and membership application forms. (Half a dozen were taken away last evening!)
