Been quite busy for the last few months and haven't looked at the boat since returning from Poole last October, however I have had this week off and in between family and domestic duties have cleaned and polished the Mustang, de wintered it's Mercury and fitted a later gearbox. I have even run it up in the tank, it started and ran perfectly.
Place your bets on how or if it runs at Chertsey,
after last years experience I know which side I'm betting on
At last the season is upon us

Re: At last the season is upon us
With the Day of the Inboards at Ivy Lake recently, we're assuming all outboards will run faultlessly at Chertsey.
My Pearly Miss Merc 400 has had the benefit of a lottery funds' worth of new parts fitted to it's gearbox following minor water ingress - what started as an impeller change 3 months ago... The NLA bits were got from Dunellin Marine in FL; can only add that I got the very best service and good prices for parts not available from Belgium - details at the back of the mag. Sadly Tango is still in a state of undress below following more water ingress last year. New floor this week and today's job involved 6 hours of cutting out more foul smelling saturated foam from the sponsons.
