Broom Aquarius port lean

Post by Ridgway »

Hi, i am new here but hope some one can help ? My Broom Aquarius has a merc 90 fitted. When traveling in a straight line it leans to port. Weight distribution doesn't make much difference.

Try turning the anode on the 90 a couple degrees to port.
no matter how bad it is,it can always get worse,I'm an optimist

Its torque reaction off the prop, when we used to sell them new back in the 80s, we used to off set the motor to starboard 1" to an 1 1/2". the adjustable trim tab aft of the prop is more effective counter acting torque steer, also just check you don't have any water trapped under the floor, we had a customers boat once that whatever we did to it we couldn't get it to handle right in the end we discovered water trapped under the floor, and this was a new boat from a major manufacturer, seems it had a badly bonded floor and it had been stored outside prior to delivery.
