Wiring a small swich panel

Post by kwoffa »

Chaps,
i have a small horizontal switch panel with two toggle switches and two indicator lamps in it..switch,indicator,switch indicator, i will use one switch to send power to my lights, the other to send power to my bige pump,
The indicator lamps have two terminals on them the toggle switches have four terminals on them, two at the top,two at the bottom, there are no markings on them,
does anyone have any idea how to wire this panel up? thanks in advance.

Without pic of switch, the only way I can think of is:12v+ to off/feed side of switch, jumper from on/load side to one side of indicator light, earth other side of indicator light.
no matter how bad it is,it can always get worse,I'm an optimist

Suggest that you include in line fuses between each switch and the respective load.
This will protect each circuit and avoid losing the lot in case of a short on the pump or lamp.

Well,i removed my dashboard so i could get at the wiring along with stripping it back, the wiring was simply frightning to say the least and i had to simply remove all conections as there was no way i could work it out, best to start afresh,i never cease to be amazed at how much effort or rather lack of it people go to to end up with bodged job! i have pictures
