Work of art needs re-chroming?

I bought this from the states via Ebay as much for my prolonged boat restoration as to sit on the sideboard.

The missus doesn't share my appreciation but you just wait til it's been re-chromed.

Same old story though... I've had a price from Ashford Chroming - first up on Google (£99-£125 + vat) and am testing the water here to see if it's a good rate?

Not all re-chromers can re work mazak or monkey metal as it often known.

When I had a similar light that needed doing I used these people at Southend (Sarfend to be correct!). They did a nice job & incidentally they can also handle larger pieces such as windscreen surrounds.
