Hi

I found the serial numbers on the Ford V4 in my grp Delta this evening, after alot of looking over the net i cannot identify the exact engine
i cannot find any referance to the 722M, most engines seem to bear the 711M mark

According to some sites, the engine was built on Apri 16th 1963, but according to another site Grp hulls were not made until around 1969

I have not found the boats serial number YET

A club member i am meeting this weekend on the water has some info on deltas for me, hopefully it might hed some light on it.

Hi DD, I think your engine is a Taunus built in Germany 62-65, 3K16 is the date of the casting number and 6015BA is the engineering number BA means change from original casting.

Hi Fergal

Thanks for that, looks like her alright, any ideas on the 722M block, if the 711M was the heavier block was this a previous lighter one?

Must say I'm loving the delta, such a past, Hope i get to take it to Derg this weekend

Also have a look through this,go to MAJOR FUNCTIONAL AREA, click engine, next, V4 .

It might be worth your while looking for an old Haynes manual like this.
