Phelon Coils - KE4

Post by solitaire »

Hi - I could do with some advice on this one, - is it good practice to glue the HT lead into the coil, as it has a tortuous bend through the stator plate - just 2cm from the coil?

Remind me, are these the screw in type, like OMC coils? I've never had to glue them in.

I used polyurethane adhesive to bond / seal the lead into the case on my original OMC coils. These like yours feature just a basic metal "nail" rather than a self tapping screw of the Sierra parts. I use the adhesive not only to help hold the wire in place but also to seal out the moisture.
