Re: Wooden Hoffman runabout restoration
A little more progress.. have filled the bilge up with water.. and found a couple of leaks.. sorted them, and hopefully in the water next week, with ballast to determine the water line... happy days.. time to get insured!!!!
Re: Wooden Hoffman runabout restoration
It looks fantastic.
I'm just starting something slightly less ambitious so please excuse what may be a stupid question.
Once you found the leaks how did you fix them?
Thanks

Re: Wooden Hoffman runabout restoration
she was leaking where someone had filled the joints between the planks with filler... which was rubbish.. so i have ground it alll out with a drimmel and filled with a flexible, adhehsive/sealant, like sikaflex.
