Is anyone up for a trip from Lechlade? I've just had a look at some dates and either June 28th or 29th seem free.
It could be a suitable candidate for a "dinghy day". Launching and parking for the day is £5 plus a Thames day licence which is £11. There is a good pub/picnic site about an hour and a half down stream with 3 or 4 (can't remember) locks in between.

Here's the launch address; http://www.thetroutinn.com I've just had a look at their events calendar and the 28th is a beer and music festival so I might need to check the parking situation but there's loads of space there, might be nice to combine the two?!

Tentative yes - looks like a great stretch of water. The Sea King should be just about finished by this weekend

Daughters school event all day on the 28th
I know the Trout as it was close to where my sister used to live & isn't that far away now. Pricey but nice food.
Has someone called the Captain on this? It's close to him but he won't have seen this as he doesn't use computers.

Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Could do the 29th if that suits better? Alacrity you might be confusing this with the Trout at tadpole bridge which is only a couple of hours down stream and quite pricey but your right the food is nice!
I haven't got a number for the captain so I haven't mentioned it to him, just thought I'd put the feelers out on the forum first.

29th is sadly out for me as well I'm afraid.
And yes, you are correct, it was the Trout at Tadpole Bridge that I was referring to.

Hi,
If you decide on the 29th, please let me know - we are collecting the kids from parents who live not far from Lechlade, so could possibly join you before collecting them late afternoon
Only niggle in mind is if a 50hp (merc) will cope with 6mph for 3 hrs?
Thanks!

Probably sticking to the 28th now as that's the only one Rapier can make but it would be good to see you there if you can make it though!
