Re: Poole Rally

No ideas yet, it's going up to the wood gurus on tuesday. At the moment it's smothered in silicone with a plywood patch both sides so hard to see. It didn't look rotted as such before we patched it, just old glue and delaminated I think. The chine in that area came loose after Falmouth a few years b...

Re: Poole Rally

Hi All Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the CMBA members who came back so quickly to help pull her out. Also to the Wareham locals who helped out, although they are unlikely to see this on here obviously. We got back there on the tuesday and split the powerhead and bottom end, then we carrie...

Poole 2010

Hope everyone going out in Poole harbour tomorrow has a good day. I can't make it this year unfortunately as I discovered a sizable crack in the hull after Falmouth. I'll probably pop down to wareham quay on Sunday for a look, don't fancy the weather much.

Grubbs Marine Clearout

If anyone has any desperate needs for old mercury outboards, I am looking into getting a shipment over from Bob Grubb.I have bought an engine from him, and am trying to find the cheapest way of getting it back here. The first shipping agent I spoke to said I would have to pay for a minimum weight sh...

Re: She is almost ready!!!

This weekend has to be perfect for sea trials, if I didn't have to go to church tomorrow to hear the Banns being read, I'd see you out in the harbour :wot: I agree with cowsail, wareham is a much better slip for a quietly controlled dip to test the woodwork. I'd be glad to help if you haven't alread...

Re: Toby Marine

Hi Pete54 I'm planning to go to Falmouth this year, and will probably be present at Poole again, if you would like to see the boat up close. I would like to go to Cardiff again this year, but haven't confirmed it yet. I don't have an awful lot of history on the boat, but it has been in the same fami...
