I sent my "mercontrol" box, steering wheel and boss off to be powder coated. The chap I used really is a specialist and thoroughly masked all areas that needed it. The new deck and cabin sole is almost completely formed now with only a few minor adjustments required before it is adhered. I was concerned that we wouldn't get a true line where the two sections of laminate butt up to the divider at the windscreen. I'm over the moon with the alignment and (to me!)...

Robin is indeed correct; I've used the same laminate as he did. Robin was kind enough to give me the contact details of the supplier. Although my stringers are certified "sound" by the boatyard, the cabin sole had one or two soft spots on it - probably due to many years of indelicate passengers jump...
