Thanks for the advice, i am going to use loctite 518 for the sealant as it says to use that in the manual.. fingers crossed for some decent weather the weekend so i can get it done

Hi all was hoping to get some good advice please.. Refurbed head fitted and i am at the stage of fitting the camshaft carrier, i have the OEM manual and understand that a fine Gasket seal around the edges being careful not to block any oilways, but also the diagrams it points to Gasket sealant going...

Thanks for the reply, i think i have sourced a 2nd hand one, should be collectiong tonight.. the reason i want to stay with current engine if i can is the weight to power thing.. i would either have to drp 40HP with the 131 or add a load of weight with the 151.. still will have to wait and see...

Yes i saw the eddie marine ones, but just to expensive.. i think if i had a similar exhaust made to the above with bend on the end it could drop it down into the standard exhaust position and exit via the stern drive as a standard system.. on the plus side i have been offered a original 2nd hand exh...
