Re: Any idea on model and age before I buy this
That is for you to decide, old boats, like a lot of things, have no "Book" value, it's what it's worth to you, and what the seller is prepared to take for it, it's that simple, if you like the boat and it's in your price range think about it, if you are unsure, look for something else.

Looks like a Fletcher 129, very late 1960's or early 1970's.

Re: Shakespeare Ford Essex V6
Why bother ?? it's a lot of messing about for little or no return, you have the best cooling system available for free (what the boat is floating in !!) . if it was a good idea some or all the major engine manufacturers would be doing it.........

Re: Bilge pump ??
You should always run bilge pumps with there own outlets, run them as two individual systems, you could get all sorts of problems if you try to amalgamate two pumps to one outlet, do it properly , bilge pumps are safety equipment.

The ones Austin got where American " Taylor made " brand, they are top quality but a little expensive, however, these one seem really cheap, even compared to ordinary fenders, would like to see them before I decided.

Robin Culpan
I am sad to report that Robin Culpan has died, those of us that visited the Poole Rallies at Lake yard will know him, he was always very generous to the CMBA , letting us use his yard for our rally , he was well known in the offshore powerboat racing world, having regularly raced in the 1970s/80s. s...
