The Windermere registration stickers will indicate when it was last used.

I’d agree on the fuel pump. The old SU pumps were awful, and I went solid state in about 1994 and never had a problem since. I use Facet pumps. I have changed it once when the boat was flooded with rain water… I believe that is is possible to find a solid state pump that looks like an old SU pump, (...

All, I think my climax head gasket has gone. Any recommendations for an engineer (preferably based in the north of England) who could diagnose and carry out appropriate actions, including checking head and block, would be appreciated.

We always use Optima red top batteries. Sealed and more robust, which is always good on a boat where it might get rough treatment.
Comes with a cost, though.

The serial plate for an albatross is on the rear crossmember aft of the hatch, and looks like it isn’t there. The new photos do indeed demonstrate it is an albatross.
