Re: Chriscraft available for sale
We have just returned from a very wet week at Windermere, but enjoyed some boating nontheless. Michigan Minx ran faultlessly as usual; not too many wardens or park rangers around, fortunately. It is still available, and there is still time in case someone here would like to buy her in time for the N...

Re: newbie - simms supver V
Simms Super Vs are light and plane very quickly, and handle well. 85 hp is probably at the top end of what it will take, and will make it a very fast boat. Be aware, through, its lightness makes it less effective for serious skiing. Value is all about condition... but will never be high. Agree with ...

Re: Albatross parts in general ?
Waterhead Marine at Ambleside still have parts for Albatross. SimonP Sadly very few, but worth a call. I went through their stores a while ago and they had some windscreen glass and what i assumed to be some prop shafts, but that was about it. Waterhead Marine is not what it used to be - like so ma...

Re: Albatross parts in general ?
Hi
You need to speak to Dick Batters or Rod Champkin who may have what you need, or will probably know where to get it. There can't be much that they don't know about these boats.
I think that they are both on this forum.

Capable of running all day at tickover or can do 35mph if you are in a hurry. She's very useable and r...

Re: Albatross- no papers!?
Welcome Absolutely - no papers unless it has been registered to the Small Ships Register (unlikely for an albatross). If you are new to them, take a look at the handbook on the following website. It is actually the handbook supplied with my boat, which has been scanned and circulated. http://shamwer...

Re: Albatross Fuel Pump
strongly suggest dump the historic unreliable SU pump and buy a solid state one. there's no point in having a beautifully original boat that breaks down.
You can, i think, even buy a solid state pump that looks like an old SU, or a conversion kit, but i believe that they are expensive.
