they are, normally with a cover to stop the bendix removing a kidney of the lucky person sitting there.

Simms Super Vs are light and plane very quickly, and handle well. 85 hp is probably at the top end of what it will take, and will make it a very fast boat. strongly suggest dump the historic unreliable SU pump and buy a solid state one. there's no point in having a beautifully original boat that breaks down.

You can, i think, even buy a solid state pump that looks like an old SU, or a conversion kit, but i believe that they are expensive.
