Re: Albatross Gearbox

I'd agree with Tim. Don't worry about it. With a little practice and the right technique, you can get an Albatross into the tightest spaces, and failing that, it is so light that paddling it is not a problem. It's just another thing to go wrong.

Re: Albatross Trailer

I had one built for our continental by SBS trailers in wolverhampton and it has proved very good. I happen to have the file nearby. Cost was £700 plus vat, which included docking arms and spare wheel. The reference number (or type) was R2/750 which was a 750kg unbraked with bunks and an open rear to...

Re: Removal of Fuel from fitted Tank

Some albatrosses do have alternative motors in them, such as holbays, but experience sug...

Re: Albatross trailer weight

Standard weight for a two seater in 1965 was 720lbs fitted with either the Ford 122E or the climax.

Do you want a copy of the owners manual?

Anyone going to Cardiff AND Windermere?

We won best wooden boat at Cardiff last year. We need to return the prize for the next recipient, but we can't go this year. We will be visiting the windermere rally in a couple of weeks; is anyone going to both, and could they kindly take the prize back to Cardiff for us? thanks Richard
