Re: Kill cord wiring for Mercury Inline 6
Over the winter I rebuilt the carbs (why do yours need changing?) & disabled the 'back drag' system on them. ....... From what I saw of your outing on FB it looked great fun with some cracking weather. One of the needles is the wrong type when we took them apart last weekend, and causes the carb to...

Re: Lough Corrib, West of Ireland
You're always welcome. 2 of us can always provide character references where required. It wouldn't take much to plan a 1 week visit and pull in 2-3 locations over here. We know of 2 venues here now (this thread and the Lough Derg thread) that suit where there are good options on acc...

Lough Corrib, West of Ireland
If we hadn't whetted you appetities for a trip to Ireland, here's some photos from the Club Powerboat.ie opening season meet on Lough Corrib last weekend. Conditions could not have been better, and we had a great turnout. The only Classics from here in attendance were myself (but with engine trouble...

Re: Kill cord wiring for Mercury Inline 6
Thanks for all the details lads, I can't see the images at work (some imaging websites blocked), but I'll check it out later from home. For those of you who weren't out with us in Ireland last weekend, my Merc needs a fuel pump rebuild (kit on order already) and 2 good carbs (donor engine being coll...

Kill cord wiring for Mercury Inline 6
HI All,
Does anyone have any details on how to add a kill cord to a Mercury 140hp inline 6? year is 1979.
We've tried it on all ignition wires but no luck.
If anyone can post a few pics of their setup I'd appreciate it.![Not Worthy :notworthy:](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)

I've seen your shed, and it's verging on a Mercury Outboards Museum!

Yes T15 - I thought that when I read Alacrity's reply.
They come up regularly on eBay.co.uk.
I saw a 75hp Stinger for sale on DoneDeal.ie recently on the back of a 14ft Shakespeare - but I don't think that's your type of boat![WOT :wot:](./images/smilies/icon_speedboat.gif)
