Perkins Outboard
Im trying to identify a perkins outboard, its serial is 1X00254, model is XMS although it is electric start, 35HP. Its white with light blue hood making it one of the later models, but i cant find the "X" model referenced anywhere........can anyone help

Im trying to identify a perkins outboard, its serial is 1X00254, model is XMS although it is electric start, 35HP. Its white with light blue hood making it one of the later models, but i cant find the "X" model referenced anywhere........can anyone help

I have a Javelin, its on the main gallery headder page, has run with a 25hp nearly all its life and performs well with this size motor.

Yes it is for the Gale, The Javelin was 64 and spent her first year with an 18hp Perkins, then the Gale was added in 65, both new and i still have the reciepts! The model is a 25DE21B. There was an extension kit bought for it in the late 70s and im faily sure it was for a Johnson equivalent. The par...

Does anyone have a leg for a 25HP short shaft kicking around, motor is 1965, but probbably common till much later

Another watering hole could be the Jolly Sailor at Ashlett Creek, entrance just after the Esso Terminal, very tidal though.
