Whereabouts on the bulkhead should the number be? Can't find mine - maybe it got chopped about when the engine was fitted.

Re: Simmonds
Well - my guess is that the Daimler engine was fitted from new at the Jaguar works in Browns Lane and that would have been 1961/62 - which is why I date it as that period. I have never been able to find a boat number on the bulkhead.

I have had the Simmonds for nearly 15 years now and feel it is about time I collected some original sales, maintenance and boat test material. Re: STAINLESS PENNANT FLAG POLE
24" would be too long for me so have come to conclusion that I will have to make my own but it does occur to me that the CMBA could perhaps commission a small run of small flagpoles for our boats. Given the number of people that have read this post I am sure it would be a best seller!

Re: STAINLESS PENNANT FLAG POLE
You will find plenty of these on ebay. I am looking for one for the Simmonds. Ones on ebay seem too long for my purpose.

Re: Jack Frost and the Bowman oil cooler
Thanks Terry - good to see you too. I will add that to the growing list of things to check - hope there aren't probs with the electronic ignition. It will be good to get the reliability back again on the Simmonds.
