The two day (one if you don't fancy two) Thames Trip is coming up fast & so far there is only two entries. It is on the weekend of 12th - 13th May.

Agreed, you don't NEED electronic ignition (or points in the case of what I am advocating) to get the engine running & usable, it just makes the old points/condenser system (with the issue of today's VERY sub standard components) redundant & makes a big difference (in both cases where I have used it...

I have now remembered the make of mine it is the Aldon Ignitor. Brilliant bit of kit.

With the style I am talking about (not electronic ignition (no box of tricks) just electronic points) you will not need to alter the tacho as you will using the original coil.

I have used a kit that does away with the points & condenser but keeps the standard coil on my Delta's with great success. Easy to fit & reliable. I too hope it survives, we lost a lot of subscribers a couple of years back when we had issues with our hosting people. The forum became virtually unusable to to slow speed issues, sadly many folk have not returned since we changed hosts.

These are not the same as the ones dear Austin got for us, but I am sure they will do the job just the same & are just perfect for our boats.

You would yes. Having just ordered a new LED lighting board for the Delta's it would appear that a lot do not have fog lights on them.
