WOW!! These pictures are fab!
They have inspired me to drag my old Albatross out of storage and do some restoration on it .
I bought it on the 16th April 1994 the day my twin girls were born! . So maybe its time to do something with it !!!! :)

I never could understand these rules at the TTBR , when you consider that the Fenn and Wood meteor was mostly plywood construction (mk1) and built on the Thames at Taplow near Maidenhead on Thames !!! I was involved in the pageant in a professional capacity i was the helmsman on the Environment Agency launch HARTSBOURNE. I have a book here about the racing lives of 50's racing drivers Mike Hawthorn and Peter Collins which states that Peter Collins kept an Albatross in Monte Carlo although he said that it was a great boat to ski behind but he thought it a little slow!! :wot:

Hi i think you will find your boat is a Belton Speedbird from the early 60s , although they look similar i don't there is any Albatross connection . i have some 1960's boating mags here somewhere with a Belton ad in it i will hunt it out over the weekend.
