Avatars are those small pictures that appear next to your name with your posts.
Avatars are only available to registered users. You can either create and upload your own avatar or choose one from our 'Avatar Gallery'
To use an avatar from the gallery:
Go to the 'User Control Panel' (by clicking that item at the top left of any page).
Select the 'Profile' tag and then the 'Edit Avatar' menu tag.
Click on the 'Display Gallery' button.
You will see all the available avatars - simply choose one by clicking on it and then pressing the 'Submit' button
Your new avatar will now be automatically displayed with all your posts.
To create your own avatar:
Choose a suitable picture and use a photo-editing package to resize it to:
a maximum 200 pixels wide x 100 pixels high, with a file size of no more than 50k
If your image is any larger you will not be able to upload it!
Save your avatar to your hard disk as a jpeg (*.jpg) file and then go to the 'User Control Panel' (by clicking that item at the top left of any page).
Select the 'Profile' tag and then the 'Edit Avatar' menu tag.
Use the 'Browse' button to locate the Avatar on your hard disk and click 'Submit'
Your new avatar will now be automatically displayed with all your posts.

climax - it's something I'm looking at. Need to do a bit of research.
In the meantime - just post in the General section saying what you'e after and pointing people to your restoration photos. I'm sure plenty of participants will chime in.
Cheers,
Robin

Re: User Profile Pictures (Avatars)
Yup, understood. I'm looking into the possibility of setting up a separate, dedicated gallery, accessible from both here and the website.
Watch this space...

Coppermine Robin? Don't know what costs are involved though. :|
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Howard,
Made a couple of Avatar images from your pics.
You should find them in the Avatar gallery - see first post in this section.
Yup, I've told the system it's summertime but so far it has chosen to ignore me...
Hey ho...
