Wanted - it’s a long shot:
Starter motor and flywheel/starter gear to convert to electric start motor.
Please PM or respond here if you know where I might source these or if you have them for sale.
Pulling a cord on a 20hp engine with great compression is getting more difficult with a dodgy old shoulder!
I don’t really want to have to sell the engine because of this.

Re: Mercury Blueband 20hp
They seldom come on the market ; both the 9.8 and 20 were 'easy' to pull start, so few bought with that option, and second hand parts are expensive for that reason. I think I have a flywheel somewhere and maybe a starter motor - will come back to you. At one stage I was trying to convert my mint '73 - it needed a different style bearing carrier for the setup - somehow the orignal (and a mint set of MerControl / loom) 'walked' from storage...Flywheels differed depending on the ignition systems that changed during this model's 1966 to 1980 life, which overly complicates a conversion (if you want the full electrical gubbins).
