Yamaha 75 -85 HP piston

Post by haventaclue »

I think I need a new/preloved piston, oversize .25 and rings to match,if anyone has one lying in a corner in need of a good home :) And please go easy,or I'll need the money for a good divorce lawyer. :D
I was having a look to see why I only had 100/90/100 and when water poured out of no.3cyl I dismantled the engine and found a badly damaged piston in no.3 but no corresponding damage on the cyl. wall or spare bits floating around the innards.See pic here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12684
no matter how bad it is,it can always get worse,I'm an optimist

I've had good experiences with Robin Curnow, when in Falmouth and later when I needed an obscure part, might be worthwhile asking..
