Period outboards for sale

Pics to follow, but these outboards are for sale from my collection.

Bought over a period of 5 years in order to use on current and future projects; they were all better looking than the normal rubbish on ebay and were worth saving from the BBQ people...

The OMCs are within the mechanical abilities of most people, with a reasonably basic tookit and the Clymer and Seloc manuals available. Parts and spares are available off the shelf in this country, but are far cheaper in the US when currency exchange rates are good!

Sadly I have little time to play any longer and would prefer that it be on the water rather than in my garage, so...

1. 1960 Evinrude Big Twin 40hp short shaft with pull start, converted to electric start on cowl, compression relief removed. Runs with new coils, new condensers. New impellor supplied for you to fit

7. SOLD _- 1969 Evinrude 4hp twin, AMAL carb (no high / low speed needles to fiddle with). Direct drive end of line model, bin clearance built in Belgium for the European market, without the shrouds, or recoil of the 40’s to 68 model. New coils, runs well, small chunk missing from impellor (found & discarded), so recommend replacement per normal. Hi Grant, I have two, but they may not be suitable. The Ski Twin 33 (1968) is on loan with a member (his was stolen) and the Johnson 40 may be too clunky (perhaps 1970ish, same style as 1960 onwards, but can't find the brochure for it). The Johnson is NOS with all it's lining intact but scratches from storage I think. Will dig it out and photograph if you need?

I also have a much more modern 40hp from post 72 when they went to a square lid for both Evinrude and Johnson. I think is 1979 but is very tidy & NOS, but doesn't have the opening lid (shown below).

Hi Howard, 1 &3 still available - no plans to do Windermere; did the Last Blast in 2004, lovely, but don't agree with the ban.
