The '0 new messages' at the top of the page refers to personal messages (PM) which you can use send to send a message to a board member that will be private. We always recommend this if you want to give someone you phone number or email for example. The PM button is on the right of the page under a users details.
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Hi all,
just to keep you updated, the Terrapin will hit the water ( River Shannon) this coming weekend. We have been busy with another class of boating and this last couple of weeks have done some work on the project to get her useable for this season. Young skipper is doing state exams presently and running the boat is the reward.
The gallon of blue paint which came with her has been applied. The Johnson didn't happen but a nice 30hp Merc (1999) did! The "D" fender is in the post. A couple of front seats purchased and some temporary cleats until the chrome stuff turns up. Windscreen of sorts will be cobbled together and will add water on Saturday. Will post pics of event.

Looking good, I hope to see her on the water at some stage over the summer

In a very raw state, it hit the water on Saturday. Lovely stable hull - a credit to the designers, the finishing off will be fun.
