Welcome to the 2nd Neyland CMBA Rally.
Tuesday the 13th to the Saturday the 17th August 2019

Neyland Yacht Club (NYC) and Neyland Marina (NM), have kindly invited CMBA members as their guests, offering fantastic venues for an extended weekend-midweek of boating on the 24 miles of navigable tidal water of the Cleddau Estuary leading from St Ann’s Head to Neyland Point and River Cleddau from Neyland Point to Haverfordwest. With plenty of places of interest along the way, including: Pembrokeshire National Park, Irish Ferry Port at Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven Tanker Terminals, Milford Haven Marina, various Pubs, Cafes and Restaurants

The Cleddau Estuary doesn't have a speed limit, so is also used as the venue for formula powerboat championships, ski racing and numerous dinghy and yacht races throughout the year. There is however a 3 knot (no wash) limit along the shoreline and the upper reaches of the River Cleddau, marked with yellow buoys. NM offers allocated pontoon mooring, parking for cars, trailers, a designated area for motorhomes, shower and toilet facilities, Manillas Cafe and The Bar, a restaurant overlooking the marina. Adjoining is Dale Sailing with a chandlery, workshop, boat hoist and a fuel pontoon.

NYC offers full use of their club house facilities, the newly refurbished Alumchine bar & restaurant, with a great veranda with uninterrupted views across the Cleddau Estuary. Launching of boats, via the public slipway to the side of NYC. Neyland town offers several supermarkets, takeaways, a chemist and fuel station.[/color]

Tuesday: Entry to NM from 09:00, after registration, park trailers & cars (within the designated areas) and prepare boats in readiness for launching. Catch up with CMBA members and join in with an informal safety briefing. Once set up, assist each other for launching, in the traditional CMBA way.
Make way to your allocated pontoon moorings in NM. Meet at Manillas Cafe for an informal safety briefing. Then heading off East a 4 mile trip to the inlet, leading to the Cresswell River. Just a short way up is Lawrenny Yacht Station, then on to the Lawrenny Arms for lunch (pontoon moorings) or to the Quayside, for afternoon tea and cake. Just south of the inlet, the 3 knot (no wash) limit starts, marked by yellow buoys. From here, a leisurely cruise north up the River Cleddau, to the fork in the river, then back to the Jolly Sailor (pontoon mooring) for an early evening drink and meal, then a short run back to NM for a night cap if desired.

Wednesday: Start the day with a breakfast at Manillas Cafe, then an informal safety briefing before heading off in a westerly direction down the 6 miles of the Cleddau Estuary to the village of Dale, (pontoon mooring) visiting the Boat House Cafe or for something stronger, the famous Griffin Inn (weather permitting).
Tuesday: Enjoy Breakfast at Manillas Cafe, then a visit to the neighbouring Milford Haven Marina, heading west for 3 miles, on the north shore of the Cleddau Estuary. Before leaving check the published free flow, access and exit times. When arriving call on the VHF to take instructions to enter via the lock gates, (channel 14, call sign: Pier Head or Tel: 01646 696310). Catch up over a drink and snack or lunch, on the terrace or in the bar. Visit the shops and cafes, then back to Neyland Marina.
Thursday: After a leisurely breakfast at Manillas Cafe, a free day boating to revisit your favourite haunts

The word "Cinderella" has, by analogy, come to mean one whose attributes were unrecognized,
or one who unexpectedly achieves recognition or success after a period of obscurity and neglect.

The BCMBR & Neyland Rally are the same W/E, but some members would like to attend both, so the Neyland rally has been postponed, to run after the Cardiff Rally & AGM.
Neyland Rally Now:- Tuesday the 13th to the Saturday the 17th August 2019
