Now that I would like to see! :help:
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Hi sean-nós and Healey75.
It's been a while since I have been on this forum and I see this post is now a few months old.

I can't believe there are three of these little boats still about!
I've not got any further with my little Microboat, sadly it's just sat in my back garden :(

Have either of you actually got your in the water yet?
How did they perform?
Don't suppose either of you have any video or photo of your boats in action?

Yo! Good to hear from you again, my grandson still has a lot of growing to do so the boat is still in the garage. Last time I used it was about 50 years ago and it would plane with 3hp. Give me a call if you want to meet up... I'm still in Chichester.
Growing up is optional...

While looking at different brackets and ways to connect the steering to the engine I noticed a hole that was plugged next to the choke so I just bolted the ball joint end of the link arm into it with a spacer to bring it out passed the choke leaver and it works perfect, can it be this simple or am I missing something :hmmm:

I've just got hold of a 1959 copy of "the boat builders handbook" from America which is full of original boat plans etc and an interesting little retro book, I found this on one of the ad pages... I wonder how many they sold in the states?
