Re: Konig - but which one?
Re this 'ol class B Konig - anyone have photos or drawings of the correct exhaust pipes? I suspect they were just open megaphones, but don't 2 strokes needed reverse cone megas for back pressure purposes?
Re: Konig - but which one?
Konig did not put closed end pipes on their early rotary valved motors, just open megaphones. I have some pics and sales brochures that show the pipes, but it will take a while to correctly size them for display here.
They went to piston porting and loop charging transitioning from the older deflector piston motors from 1960 thru 62 ... and put closed end pipes on the new models where sound restrictions allowed. Only after 1961 were closed end high back pressure pipes available for all Konig models. They went back to rotary valves around 1965

Re: Konig - but which one?
Thanks Bunny, I'd be very interested to see the open megas - maybe I can copy them from the photos.
Re: Konig - but which one?
I have come into possession of a quantity of old Konig stuff this week and should be able to provide pictures and measurements
