Just a reminder - places for this CMBA rally are filling up fast, with near full capacity for Saturday night's dinner at CYC.
Speaking from experience, this is a wonderful rally for the family and remains a firm favourite with mine, particularly as it involves putting on boat displays for the public.
If you haven't booked yet, the booking / rally details are available in the member's section of the forum. If you're not a CMBA member please PM me and I'll email details.

Looking forward to it T15
Mercs are like women, no 2 are exactly alike. That's what testing is about. In general it is safer to test motors and props than women!

Re: 7th CARDIFF BAY CLASSIC - 13th to 15th AUG
I've been readying myself over recent days for arriving on Thursday afternoon in Cardiff.
Tried out West Wind last Saturday in Dublin Bay, but engine trouble once again meant I didn't get 20 yards from the slipway in Howth.
So today - thanks to a VERY generous owner of Sean-Nos - I collected said handbuilt boat from North Dublin and she now rests beside West Wind until I leave for the ferry on Thursday morning at 6am.
Looking forward to showing her off next weekend for Fergal (the 4th Irishman who won't be there in body, but will be in craft!).

Re: 7th CARDIFF BAY CLASSIC - 13th to 15th AUG
we have been cleaning, servicing, fixing and testing too.......here my new bum pads get tested by seriously tough judges. I was instructed to do someting about the seats after airborn antics down Sotton water (mind you my own bruising dictated this was a sensible move)
So, 4 new seat pads, electric start, polished, cleaned (even the brass ferrules on the morse cables!) and raring to get there Friday lunchtime.
Its the mini clubman this year...not as pretty as Min but you have all seen her many times before!

Cant wait to get to Cardiff.
Engine rebuild just completed this last week and finally started tonight after playing with the timing. Managed to cram a header tank into the tiny engine bay too, so that's a bonus.
So you all on Friday!!!!!!

Sean-Nos (in the foreground!) and myself can't wait either! That's a picture I took from the last outing it had in Ireland on Lough Corrib back in April. Here's to fine weather this weekend in Cardiff - it always makes for good times and great pictures!Alacrity wrote:Can't wait meself!
